February Roundup: Products We’re Trying March 9, 2018
I wanted a place where I can share and review the products I show you over on my Instagram stories, so I’m hoping to do a monthly roundup of what you’ve seen the past month! Going forward, if there’s anything you spot your eye on that I’m sharing, be sure to point out you want to see it in that month’s post! 🙂
Amazon Mama Bear Diapers: I shared about these diapers a couple of weeks ago, and so far we like them! I don’t have any complaints just yet, and no blowouts have happened. I’m reordering them in a size 1 because little man is quickly outgrowing newborns, and I plan to buy a pack of 4s for Noelle as well. I feel like she will be the ultimate test, and if they can withstand overnights with her then they are sure fire winner!
Dinner Winner Plates: I bought these plates on a whim because Noelle has been struggling with eating during meal times. I know it’s just a phase, but I figured if I could make it more fun then why the hell not? These plates are worth EVERY penny in my book because they’ve worked every time…even with Landon! They enjoy eating their way to the “finish line” and unboxing a sweet treat. I realize they’re pricier than what you’d normally spend on a kid’s plate, but desperate times call for desperate measures. If it gets them eating without a fight, then SCORE!
Silverette Nursing Cups: I was sent these cups to try out, and thought they were a little odd although I understood the concept. Silver has natural healing and antimicrobial properties, and we use it in wound care ALL the time. So it only made sense that it could help with nipple soreness and any broken skin, right? Right! These were really awesome the first couple of weeks when we were figuring out our latch! The only downside is I looked a little Madonna-esc because they were visible through my bra and shirt. But whatever, no one was really seeing me anyway.
Okay to Wake Clock: This isn’t a recent purchase by any means, but I wanted to share my thoughts on it here because I’ve had a few of you ask about it! We started using this Okay to Wake Clock when Landon was 3, and it REALLY helped him know when it was okay to get up in the morning. He would wake up at 5am and think it was time to get up for the day, and we were like NOOOOOOO. No. NO. So we bought him this clock and told him it’s not time to wake up until the light on it turns green. Problem solved! He literally won’t get out of bed (unless it’s to use the bathroom) unless it’s green.
Hatch Baby Rest: I very much questioned my sanity as I purchased this $60 sound machine, but I’m actually happy I did. This is a sound machine like NO other and offers an OK to wake option as well. It can be controlled through an app on your phone, and you can set up “schedules” for the machine to turn on and off at certain times. I like that I can set it up for my kids’ nap time and it automatically turns on and off. I bought one for each kid, and I definitely don’t regret it! Would a regular white noise machine work? Of course, but I do like the features this one has.
Clorox Hydrogen Peroxide Spray: You guys remember how we all got hit (minus me!) with the stomach bug literally the week before I went into labor? Yeah that was fun. Anyways, I’ve had an influx of messages about the cleaner I used. It’s this Clorox Hydrogen Peroxide Spray and they also have it in wipes. It’s one of the only cleaners to kill the bug, and I’m thinking it’s why I didn’t get it (I was the one doing all the cleaning!).
L’ovedBaby Organic Cotton Onesie: I first learned of these onesies with Noelle and really loved them. I shared the ones I have for Austin a few times on Instagram, and many of you love them too! They can fit a little snug, so size up if you’re unsure of sizing.
I’ll share more over the course of March and do a roundup at the end of the month! 🙂 Stay tuned!
