How to Style Bralettes May 22, 2018
Thank you to American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie for sponsoring today’s post! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This post has been long awaited, and I’m so thrilled How to Style Bralettes with you today! I fell in love with bralettes a couple years back because 1. I highly dislike underwire, 2. They are SO COMFORTABLE, and 3. They’re nursing friendly (just lift them up!). One of my favorite places to shop for bralettes is Aerie because they’re budget-friendly and incredible quality. They also have lightly padded options too! I’m currently averaging a 34C and wear a size small in Aerie, just for reference. Here’s how I like to style bralettes!
How to Style Bralettes
1 // With an open back top.
Ever have that open back or low cut back top that you can’t figure out what bra to wear with? That’s where a bralette comes in! This adorable open back romper would look awkward with a strapless bra, but this lace bralette is much more suitable. Choose one with detail in the back like this Aerie Castaway Lace Padded Longline Bralette or this Padded Nordic Lace Longline Bralette.

2 // With a wide neck top.
The easiest way to style a bralette is underneath a wide neck top. I wear mine underneath wide neck t-shirts and sweaters frequently because I love the look of the lace peeking through. It also means I don’t need to wear a strapless bra if it’s necessary! I’m wearing the Aerie Castaway Lace Padded Longline Bralette with the outfit below, but one with pretty lace straps like Aerie Castaway Lace Longline Bandeau Bralette would work too!

3 // With low cut tops.
If you have a low cut top, adding a bralette like this Aerie Classic Lace Bralette gives a bit more coverage. It peeks out just a bit, and the lace straps adds some pretty detail. This one in particular can also be worn as a racerback, making it even more versatile!

4 // With halter tops.
I hate finding bras to wear with a halter style top or dress, so adding a pretty bralette with a lace back like this Aerie Padded Nordic Lace Longline Bralette is a great alternative and adds some pretty detail! The long-line style gives a bit more coverage as well.

5 // With thin strap tops.
If you have a top or dress with thin straps and don’t want regular bra straps to show, a bralette like the Aerie Castaway Lace Longline Bandeau Bralette is a great option! This one can also be worn as a bandeau top because the straps are removable!

Hopefully this was helping for styling bralettes! They are truly one of my favorite undergarments to wear because of the comfort factor. Check out more varieties and styles at Aerie!
