A peplum top: I had yet to purchase a peplum piece for my closet because I wanted to wait until AFTER I was pregnant. Pregnant and peplum is a huge NO. This great peplum leather top from Forever 21 is the perfect way to combine both trends. I can’t wait to wear this out on a date night with some oxblood skinnies and leopard pumps.
A jeweled sweatshirt: I recently purchased the one shown from Forever 21, but Old Navy has some great deals on them as well! Any way to look stylish in a sweatshirt is a key to my heart in fashion. I plan on pairing mine with some black or coated denim skinnies.
Plaid: I just want the most perfect oversized, comfy man’s plaid shirt. I’ve yet to find one long enough for my liking, so I may have to browse the men’s section to find what I’m looking for. But this plaid shirt from Forever 21 looks like a great option!
Aztec: I’m not huge on prints, but I’m really loving the aztec look lately. I’ve been on a hunt to find the most perfect, cozy aztec cardigan that also won’t break my bank. While I still haven’t found that, I’m loving this adorable aztec tote from Target that’s only $24.99!
Oxford flats: I should’ve added these to my closet last year, so while I’m late to jump on this trend it’s better late than never right? I’ve fallen in love with these oxford flats by Crown Vintage that would look super cute with some textured tights and a dress for the fall season!
Tweed: I would love to add a tweed jacket to my closet this season. Tweed is one of those fabrics that never goes out of style, so adding a piece like a tweed jacket is an investment and will last for years! I love this black tweed jacket from Gap, and as a bonus..it’s currently on sale for less than $50!
One other trend I love, that can actually now be considered a classic!, is leopard. I’ve always been a fan of leopard, and I love that it’s here to stay! The only reason I don’t have it pictured above is my closet is already chock full of leopard shoes and accessories 😉
What are some pieces you’re adding to your closet this fall season?
